Ottawa Cozy Quilters
Welcome to the Quilters’ Cozy Corner
The Quilter’s Cozy Corner is currently located in a three-bedroom trailer behind the Ottawa Community Building. This space has been transformed to support our quilting activities, and we have put every room to use. The porch and accessibility ramp were generously built by Don Giles; we’re grateful for the support of our community.
Inside, the main living area houses several sewing machines where we all sit together and sew. The front room houses our quilting machine. The back bedroom is dedicated to our fabric collection, allowing each other space to browse and select materials without interrupting others.
Between these rooms is a storage area where we organize bins of patterns, lace, pre-cut blocks, and essential tools like needles and bobbins. You’ll also find a collection of quilting magazines there; a favorite source of inspiration. If you have any patterns or magazines you'd like to donate, we would be happy to receive them.
At the other end of the trailer is our cutting room, where each of us has space to spread out fabric and experiment with different combinations. It’s equipped with all the necessary cutting tools, rulers, and pads.
The front kitchen area includes a table where we gather for breaks, coffee, and snacks. It’s a cozy spot for conversation and connection. One of our favorite features is the abundance of natural light: every room has at least one window, with several in the front room, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere.
We always welcome new volunteers and donations of materials, tools, or quilting supplies.

We typically meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting around 9:00 AM CST (though you're welcome to arrive later if that suits you). We work at our own pace and enjoy lunch together at the nearby community center, which offers tasty meals and a great salad bar.
If you'd like to visit, simply call the Ottawa Office at (918) 540-1536, and they’ll be happy to connect you with one of us. Better yet, just drop by; we’d love to show you around and share what we’re working on.
